United Way of Santa Rosa County (UWSRC) invests in strategies for community change.
We fund partnerships in impact programs focused on Education, Health, and Financial Stability. The agencies we fund specialize in direct services consistent with our United Way's local mission. Consequently, our service to agency partners also includes in-kind services, promotion, and client referrals. Agencies apply for funding each February/March and reports on the use of the previous allocation of funds and on community impact; meaning, successes. When partnership goals are met funding allocations sometimes change to address other unfunded needs.
Determination of which agencies get funded is by a 100% volunteer Funds Distribution Team, made up of a diverse group of Santa Rosa County based donors and representatives from key industries. The Funds Distribution Team recommends which agencies will be funded and how much they will receive. The United Way of Santa Rosa County Board of Directors then reviews the team's recommendation; may adjust due to budget availability, and then approves the schedule of investment. The team is supplied with call data collected by our local United Way staff which helps them identify critical community needs for the current year.
We are pleased to report that on March 27, 2018 the UWSRC Board of Directors reviewed the recommendations of the Funds Development Team.
